Assessment and reporting

Rostrum Public Speaking

Students in years 3-6 have the opportunity to develop their public speaking skills through participation in the ACT Public Speaking Competition organised by Rostrum. In term two each student prepares and presents a three-minute speech to their class. Two finalists from each class are selected to perform at the school final. The winner of this final represents the school at the ACT quarter finals/ interschools competition. More information about the competition, including hints for students and details of preparing a speech can be found at the Rostrum ACT website
